The cost of a translation is typically based on the number of words or lines in the document. Depending on your locale or preference the source or target language text can be used to determine the word or line count. For clients in Germany, I will typically use the number of target lines (55 characters including spaces) unless requested otherwise. In the US, it is customary to use the number of words in the source document in order to calculate a word count upfront. Translation is typically not charged by the hour. I'd be happy to give you a free and non-binding estimate. For the most accurate quotes I ask that you send a file. If you do not have a file, feel free to send your document(s) by fax. Delivery of translated documents back to you can be by e-mail, ftp transfer, fax or postal service. Apart from the usual payment methods, you can now use your credit card and pay via PayPal!
